I like fashion, theatre, wine, hilarious people, oversharing intimate personal details about myself, politics, relgious debate, feminism, campaigning for those homosexuals and fit blokes.

Why Having Big Bollocks Is Important

I used to be a shy kid.

Cripplingly so. This is what I did and it fixed me.

1. Take an acting class. This sounds like an unholy nightmare but you will get used to speaking in front of people, improvising and you will stop being embarrassed. I don’t blush anymore. You could take my clothes from me and make me say a speech and I would ask for a fucking trampoline because I will not be embarrassed and I do things on my own terms.

2. Try to meet a new person every day. If there is someone who you know but haven’t really spoken to before, make an effort to strike up a conversation with them. One page worth of new script with a different new person every day adds up to a lot of new people in your life. It gets easier too.

3. Write a short list of things in your life that you want to change and then do it. Ask your boss about a payrise or more hours. Submit your essays to newspapers. Write the screenplay you have been thinking about. Ask that girl/boy out. Ask your parents to give you a little more space. Ask the guy in the apple store if he/she can give you 10% off if you pay in cash. When you start working on the big decisions and asking the big questions, the smaller ones become easier to answer.

4. Get used to sending emails, letters and taking phonecalls. This was a big one for me because I HATE the phone. Phoning for a Doctor’s appointment is still my biggest fear. So do it a lot. I started having an hour long phonecall a couple of times a week and it has helped. Just make yourself do it.

5. If someone is treating you like shit walk away, ignore it or confront it. My preferred option is a combination of walking away and confronting. Just get that bad stuff out of your life. Don’t pander to bad people.

Follow these instructions and give a speech then do a sky dive then follow your DREAMS.

I did and now I’m fucking awesome.
